QPIX Training is a division of QPIX Limited, Queensland's screen development centre, situated in Brisbane Australia. They are committed to developing independent production and independent screen production professionals in Queensland, and to linking the State independent sector with the industry at the national and international levels. QPIX provides a range of integrated services to enable the development, production and exhibition of Queensland's film, television and new media. QPIX was established as an initiative of the Pacific Film and Television Commission (PFTC), the Australian Film Commission (AFC), and screen industry organisations throughout Queensland. QPIX receives funding from the PFTC and the AFC but raises the majority of it annual turnover from commercial activity. QPIX is a non-profit company limited by guarantee which drives net revenue back into services into the independent sector of the screen industry. QPIX provides screen practitioners with access to equipment and facilities, low-cost production offices, professional production advice, information services, production opportunities, screening opportunities, key industry-focused training, and a wide range of professional development. QPIX is also generously supported by industry partners WARNER ROADSHOW, MAGNA PACIFIC, KODAK (Australasia), ATLAB (Qld), CAMERAQUIP (Australia), THE POST LOUNGE, THE POST WORKS , CUTTING EDGE and SCOPE POST . QPIX is a founding member of SDA, the national network of Screen Development Centres , together with The Film & Television Institute (WA), Media Resource Centre (SA), Open Channel (VIC), and Metro Screen (NSW). By becoming Members of QPIX, individuals gain access to such services as Crew Link, Actor Link, library resources, QPIX News (industry magazine), advisory services, low-cost access to equipment and facility hire, the Script Appraisal Service (SAS), the Industry Advisory Service (IAS), subsidised access to specialist training, and our unique product development LABORATORIES. |
